Residential HVAC Service Technician

Shogun is looking for an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician who can diagnose, service, and repair residential comfort systems while delivering professional, high-quality customer service.
Responsibilities may include:
- Diagnoses, troubleshoot, service, and repair residential HVAC systems
- Work on heat pumps, air conditioners, gas furnaces, thermostats, control systems, indoor air quality products, and related accessories
- Perform airflow diagnostics, refrigerant leak checks, electrical troubleshooting, and system performance testing
- Identify repair and replacement options and explain recommendations clearly to homeowners.
- Assist with HVAC system installation as needed.
- Use flat-rate pricing and repair estimates to present professional options to customers
- Complete system inspections and document findings accurately
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow company procedures, safety standards, and local code requirements
- Perform additional related duties as needed
Qualifications
The right candidate will have:
- Residential HVAC service experience
- Strong knowledge of heat pumps, air conditioners, gas furnaces, controls, and accessories
- Proficiency in airflow diagnostics, refrigerant leak detection, and electrical troubleshooting
- Ability to communicate clearly and provide excellent customer service in homeowners’ homes
- Understanding of flat-rate service pricing and repair estimating
- Self-motivated attitude with good judgment and time management skills
- Ability to work occasional extended or irregular hours as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and MVR check
Physical Requirements
This position requires regular standing, walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing, crawling, and working in attics, crawl spaces, mechanical rooms, and other tight areas. Team members must be able to lift, carry, and move tools, equipment, parts, and materials commonly used in residential HVAC service and installation, including occasional heavier lifting with assistance when needed.
